It won’t be wrong to call him a born politician because he is a good political strategist. He has been in politics for long as a pioneering former of National Assembly Services Commission where scheming, negotiation and lobbying are the rules of the game.
Background
On why he obtained the mandate of his people to represent them in the Federal House of Representatives, the Ozu Abam-born lawmaker says “I am in the House of Representatives to help wipe away tears and pains of my dear people, I want to give them quality representation as never before. I am fully aware of their suffering in terms of bad roads and other social amenities they are lacking and have to endure. By the special grace of God, they will feel the impact of my representation” he noted.
Misgiving of Committees Appointment by the Speakers
On the 50-50 committees sharing with the opposition under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, Hon Ndukwe, says on the contrary, “Dogara as an experience lawmaker is well skillful in legislative matters, is a man that is running a transparent government that is all inclusive.
He is core patriot and nationalist, who believes everyone in respective of party, religion should be well represented for the sake of the Nigerian people that elected us to represent them. Don’t forget our primary assignment is to make laws, so, committees or oversight functions although these are additional responsibilities inclusive, but, they are not the primary reasons why we elected as lawmakers but secondary.
To the best of my knowledge, Dogara did his best to carry every one along. I didn’t get any committee as a chairman, but I can say am hundred percent satisfied of what he did concerning the committees appointment” He opined.
Major Concern and Challenges
The PDP flag bearer said his major concern now is to ensure the construction of the two major bad roads in my constituency. Right now, I can’t access my community directly, I have to go through and state before I can come to my home town.
If this situation is not addressed now, by next year during raining time, the federal government will have to provide us Helicopters to fly to my constituency, this what my people has been enduring. I am also pained by this ugly situation. I most address it by God’s grace, which would enhance communication and rural development in the area.
Nkole, a professional Town Planner, promised to institute welfare packages that would promote agriculture; improve education and boost healthcare delivery in his constituency, also said when he is done with the bridge, he would unleash empowerment programmes on his constituent by way of skill acquisition and youths empowerment
The 39-year-old University of Nigeria, Nsukka, graduate of Geography expressed optimism that he would give his people good representation to Abia.
Message
On what he wish his people and all those who supported him, ''I thank you all sincerely my good people for the mandate you have given me, I equally want to assured you all, I will never betray this sacred trust''.
