Nigerians in China have commended the clearance of Chief Audu Ogbeh and Senator Aisha Alhassan as ministers by the Senate in the ongoing screening of ministerial nominees.
The group under the aegis of Concern Citizens in Diaspora (CCD) gave President Muhammadu Buhari thumbs up for the calibre of people he chose as his ministers.
In a press release signed by its President and CEO, Blue Diamond Logistics, China, Mr. Festus Mbisiogu, the group praised the Senate for giving Ogbeh another opportunity to bring his wealth of experience into the service of the nation especially in the area of agriculture, which CCD believes the former minister made a mark.
The group said with Ogbeh and Alhassan in the cabinet of President Buhari, “there is hope that the economy will be less dependent on oil but will now be agric-based. He said Nigerians in the diaspora were elated by Buhari’s choice of cabinet members in his administration hence their confidence in the ability of the nominees to deliver democracy dividends to Nigerians.”
On the role Alhassan played when she was in the Senate, the group said it could vividly remember her gender-equality stand, bills and motions that drove the nation’s economy and generated employment.
They cited her robust manifesto, which she unfolded during her governorship campaign in Taraba State in the last general elections.
The group said with such captivating blue print, Alhassan is well equipped to assist the government deliver the change All Progressives Congress (APC) promised Nigerians.
