Oshiomhole Asked Head of Service and Perm Sec to Go Away

the latest news reaching National Lifewatcch from the ancient city is that, Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has directed the State Head of Service, Mr. Jerry Obazele, to proceed on retirement.

According to a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Peter Okhiria, and made available to journalists on Tuesday evening, Oshiomhole appointed Mrs. Gladys Idahor as his (Obazele) replacement.

He also approved the retirement of the Permanent Secretary of the state Information and Communication Technology Agency, Mr. Dan Aigbavboa, and suspended the Director (Software) of the agency, Toju Onaiwu.

Although the governor did not give reasons for the retirement and suspension of the senior government officials, he however, directed members of the Edo State Pensions Board to report to the State Civil Service Commission for proper investigation and disciplinary action, in accordance with the Civil Service Rules.

“Members of the Pensions Board are advised to steer clear of their offices until investigations are concluded,” the statement added.
