NAFDAC: Cancerous Substance in Some of our Breads


It is beginning to seem like Nigerian bakeries have started sacrificing quality for packaging. Most of the well-packaged loaves of bread one buys nowadays are harmful
and  below standard. They smell and taste funny especially when they are over a day old.

The other day, a woman called Mama Seun, a baker has this to say to National Lifewatch city watch reporters concerning breads eaten in our homes on daily basis. She said, “as a baker, I fears God,  were it not that I fear God, I would have toe the path of other bakers that are using substance that is believed to be dangerous and course cancer in human bodies. The substance is believed to be capable of making bread rise, look beautiful and smell nice but very harmful to human health

National Lifewatch is sending this to all the appropriate foods enforcement agencies to watch out for these bakers making monies at the expense of innocent and unsuspecting citizens' health, Especially, National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control should pay more attention to these bakeries in the interest of public health and safety.
