the current administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, Nigerians were already witnessing the Nigeria of their dream.
Speaking at his Hilltop residence in Abeokuta when officials of the National Association of Nigerians Students (NANS) paid him a visit on Friday, the former President called for unalloyed support for the new government, adding, “in the last two and a half months, Nigerians have started to witness a Nigeria of their dreams,”
Noting that the country had tottered towards the precipice so many times but God had not allowed it to tumble, Obasanjo said, "When one takes a look at everything, the most crucial, and vital conclusion is that God loves Nigeria."
He said: "We thank God for peace even after the election. No single individual is a paragon of pterfection. There is no Messiah except Jesus Christ. But there are people who still stick out their neck for the good of Nigerians.
This spirited zeal with which OBJ accords Buhari's government is such that requires careful examination to determine whether they are for patriotic or selfish aims. It is very unfortunate that politics of sectionalism and self interest have hindered the Nigeria Nation from producing a Nigeria minded leader or core nationalist.
This new marriage between the two former heads of state can not be without a mission from the former which is a game played around the stadium of self and regional interest, some Nigerians sees OBJ's run around for PMB as a clever bait to distract the later of bringing the corruption fight to his door steps as it concerns the many questions behind Ota farm, the third term agenda and the nairas that exchanged hands in "Ghana must go" just to mention a few of Baba Iyabor's lawlessness in the past... National lifewatch is of the noble opinion that if Mr. President truely meant to fight the war against corruption and not a scratch on the surface, there should not be any sacred cow, if not, the much ado about corruption fight will be seen as a child's play.
Abraham Lincoln once said that " it is not the number of years spent that counts, but the life in the years spent" this holds true, we at lifewatch house beleives that leaders should see their stay in office as a privilage to add value and impact positively on the lives of the citizenry.
OBJ's run around for PMB to cover his shady deals clearly shows that his third time as ruler did not impact the nation positively as when compared with the likes of Nelson Mandela, Calvez, and Lee Kuan Yew whose visionary leadership plants long lasting transformation in their Countries.
