I Have The Revelation For Change -- Bishop Abioye

Bishop David A bioye
The practice of the Word is the guarantee for profitable living. Practicing the Word is trading for wonders. Applying God’s Word is cashing in for a miracle.

God’s Word is both creative and “re-creative.” He “sustains all things by the Word of His power.” Heb. 1:3. God created man by His breath, and sustains his physical being by His Word. That is why God’s Word remains the most authentic conveyor of healing and health to our bodies because the body was made by the Word (Ps 107:20; Pro. 4:22; Jn. 1:5).

So, if anything goes wrong with the body, the Word can repair it and if it cannot be recovered, it can be replaced by the same creative Word. Evidently, His Word contains mysteries that guarantee our mastery over the miseries of life, including sicknesses and diseases. (Ps. 119:18).

WHAT ARE MYSTERIES?

Mysteries can be defined as divine secrets embedded in Scriptures. There are two sides of the Bible the story and the mystery, the letter and the Spirit. The letter kills but the Spirit gives life. The written Word is mere stories, but the revealed and applied Word unveil mysteries that trigger spiritual operations. Many can read the story but only a few have access to the mysteries. One can be a professor of the Bible and have no understanding of it (Mk. 4:11; Jn. 6:63; 2Cor.3:6).

There is the surface and the depth dimension of the Bible. The depth is what is referred to as the mysteries.

A mystery is something that is real even though cannot be explained; something that cannot be described yet cannot be denied. It is the mysteries of the Kingdom that puts one in commands over the issues of life. You are not ordinary, so you have a superior way of getting things done (Jn. 3:31; Job.29:1-4).

For instance when men are cast down, as a believer you are lifted (Job 22:29); others may be sick but you are strong (Joel 3:10, Ps. 107:2). Men of understanding see beyond the surface into the treasures.

Mysteries are largely authenticated by testimonies. You cannot see it nor touch it, yet you cannot deny it. For instance, many wonder how by just taking the Communion, sicknesses and diseases which has defied medical expertise are cured. This is because of the mystery contained in it. You may query stories, but you cannot argue mysteries. You may speak grammar and tell stories but you cannot deny the reality of tangible and provable change in the lives of people.

Mysteries are mostly wrapped up in biblical simplicities; they are usually so simple that they beat the logic of the human mind. Human nature likes complexities. For instance, many people believe that the potency of a charm is dependent on its cost but in this Kingdom, God’s power is released to us for free on the platform of our faith Also, many take pride in going to high-class hospitals where they will be charged heavily. But in the Kingdom of God, the principle is, freely you have received, freely give! Matt. 10:8.

The following stories show to us the simplicity of the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven. The man by the pool of Bethesda waited for 38 years without cure. Then Jesus came to the man and simply said, “Rise, take up thy bed and walk” Jn. 5:8. At another occasion, Jesus was ministering somewhere and approached a man with withered hands and just said, “Stretch forth your hands. “Mk. 3:5. The Word of God operates by faith and not by logic or intelligent analysis. When people who are sick met me, I don’t give them room to bore me with their explanations and complexities because I saw in the Scripture that Jesus never allowed people to bug Him with such. I don’t need to know the Genesis of their problems because I already have the Revelation which guarantees the change that you desire.

Mysteries, are communicated in similitude’s (spiritual illustrations) (Hos. 12:10). The book of 2 Kings 5:9-14 gives the account of Namaan, a General in the Assyrian Army who was afflicted with leprosy. He had been advised to seek for healing in Samaria and upon approaching Elisha’s house, the prophet sent a word to him to go and deep himself in river Jordan seven times and he will be made whole.

This instruction got the General very furious and turned back to go home. But his servants convinced him to heed the prophetic instruction which he reluctantly obeyed and at the seventh deep, his flesh was restored like that of a baby. In the same vein, Jesus washed the feet of his disciples so as to allow them to partake of their inheritance in Him (Jn. 13:4-11). The mysteries are simple but effectual. One of the Kingdom mysteries that guarantee our mastery in life is the mystery of the Holy Communion.
